ABOUT ME
My full name is Benedict Andrew Burgess. I was born in Charlottesville, VA, on a dark and stormy July 16th.
I was raised on classic movies and country-pop music. I fell in love with the creative arts in the eighth grade, and haven't looked back.
Since then, I earned my B.A. in Theatre & English (plus, a minor in Humanities) from Greensboro College and studied at the Stella Adler Studio for Acting Summer Conservatory.
I've acted in film and theatre across the country, from Theatre-For-Young Audiences national tours, to sci-fi thrillers in Los Angeles, and industrial films for the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps in Washington D.C.
I am a certified Swiftie and Little Monster, and have encyclopedic knowledge of Godzilla, The Simpsons, and RuPaul's Drag Race -- even the internation seasons.
I also write on occasion and have won several awards - including "Outstanding Short Story" from the American Scholastic Press Association.
I am currently based in New York City, New York.
